echo_von_nichts: “wunderkammer”

„Wunderkammer“ was an attempt during the European Renaissance to create spaces where journeys through space and time could be facilitated using real and artificial objects. „wunderkammer“ by Pina Rücker uses ancient music artifacts, such as Gregorian chants, and practice these melodies in objects of future technology. The ensemble creates entirely new soundscapes by expanding the space between notes, stretching the “present of hearing,” and blending past and future into a timeless auditory experience.

This year’s edition of the “Slovo Gorčina” cultural festival in 2024 promises to be a truly artistic experience that transcends the usual boundaries of cultural events in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A special highlight is the spectacular intermedia music performance that will open the festival and is created by the composer Belma Bešlić-Gál.

Koncert Tuzla Guitar Week URZS Vaclaf

Outdoors Concert

This year’s Tuzla Guitar Week will take place from July 14th to 20th, featuring four concerts, intensive masterclasses in both individual and group settings, a guitar orchestra, daily group practice sessions, and free time activities. During this year’s Guitar Week, there will also be an art exhibition titled “Guitarists” by the renowned Bosnian-Herzegovinian painter Safet Zec.

Join us for a wonderful evening in a warm and inviting atmosphere! As part of this event, you will have the opportunity to meet and talk with this year’s Zvjezdane staze artists: Composer Marta Kowalczuk from Poland, composer and pianist Manuel Pessoa de Lima from Brazil, pianist and composer Roman Stolyar from Russia, writer and playwright Minja Jovičin from Serbia and composer Damjan Jovičin from Serbia. In addition to the artistic introductions, you will be treated to a range of Bosnian culinary delights prepared by the amazing Nadža Ibrišimović. Her dishes, rooted in tradition and prepared with locally sourced ingredients, offer a true taste of the region’s rich gastronomic heritage.

WELCOME TO AiR ZVJEZDANE STAZE 2024!

After months of dedicated preparation and hard work by the entire AiR Zvjezdane staze team, the local community and our dedicated supporters, the moment we have all been waiting for has finally arrived. We are delighted to welcome the very first artists in residence for the first edition of the Zvjezdane staze artistic residency. From July 3 to September 30, 2024, this pioneering event will take place alongside the 12th edition of VaClaF: Vareš Classic Festival, under the uplifting motto “Dreams to Come True”.

Medulin // At the Cemetery site in the village of Vrpolje, in the area of Ljubomir, near Trebinje, there is a necropolis with eighteen stećci (four slabs, thirteen chest tombs, and one cross-shaped tombstone) among which six examples feature relief decorations and two bear Cyrillic inscriptions. One of these inscriptions is carved into five rows (with only two letters in the fifth row) on the front face of a tall chest tomb. […]
